
Sourdough Donuts

Ingredients
- all-purpose flour - 2 cups
- sourdough starter - 1/2 cup
- milk - 1/2 cup
- sugar - 1/4 cup
- egg - 1 ea.
- salt - 1 tsp.
Instructions
- Warm the milk until it is at a simmer. Remove from heat.
- In a large bowl, mix all ingredients together until well combined. Knead on a floured surface until soft.
- Roll the dough to a ¾-inch thickness. Cut donut holes using a circle-cutting tool until you have run out of space. Repeat rolling out the dough into ¾ of an inch and cutting until you have run out of dough.
- Place on a lined and sprayed sheet tray and let rise from 2-6 hours or overnight.
- Heat oil for frying and place donuts into the oil, flipping after 30 seconds until golden- brown and lightweight.
