Pickled Broccoli Stems

Ingredients
- broccoli stems - 1,200 gms.
- malt vinegar - 1,100 gms.
- water - 600 gms.
- salt - 60 gms.
- granulated white sugar - 220 gms.
- garlic - 8 gms.
- red pepper flakes - 3 gms.
- bay leaves - 4 gm.s
- pickling sppice - 12 gms.
Instructions
- Bring vinegar, water, salt, sugar, pepper flakes and pickling spice to a boil.
- Pour over garlic, vegetables and bay leaves.
- Let cool to room temperature.
- Store in pickling solution in the refrigerator.
- Allow to mature at least 3 days.
