Oreo Mousse Cake

Ingredients
- Ingredients for the Oreo Crust:
- Oreo cookies - 24 ea., finely crushed
- butter - 4 Tbsp., melted
- Ingredients for Milk Chocolate Mousse Layer:
- milk chocolate - 10 ozs.
- heavy cream - 1.5 cups
- bronze level gelatin sheets - 4 ea.
- Ingredients for the White Chocolate Mousse Layer:
- white chocolate - 7 ozs.
- heavy cream - 1.5 cups
- additional flavoring - as desired
Instructions
Procedure for Oreo Crust:
- Mix Oreos and melted butter.
- Press into springform pan lined with parchment paper.
- Let set up in fridge for 30 minutes.
Procedure for Milk Chocolate Mousse Layer:
- Soften gelatin sheets in cold water.
- Melt chocolate over double broiler.
- Heat ½ of cream to a simmer and add to chocolate.
- Stir in the gelatin to the chocolate mixture and let it cool to room temperature.
- Whip the remaining 1 cup of heavy cream to soft peaks and fold into the cooled chocolate mixture.
- Pour in pan and let set for 30 minutes.
Procedure for White Chocolate Mousse Layer:
- Repeat steps for the milk chocolate mousse.
- Let the cake set up for a couple hours then cut and serve.
